Digital Hero Camera Pics

Postby Poo Stance » Fri Sep 19, 2008 11:05 am

Here's a pic I took with my Digital Hero (thanks sis). Its not amazing so didn't want to put it in the cool shots section, thought I'd start a new thread and see if anyone else had any to contribute?

Image

Could give prospective buyers an idea of quality. I think I saw somewhere they do a board mount now for it, sounds interesting.

A bit of topic.....whats the chances of the knowledgeable photogs on here starting a thread where they post up their pics with the settings used to take them? ISO, Exposure and all that techie stuff. I swear they do it in photo mags or the nat geo or somewhere. Sounds like it could be useful to all (unless it's trade secret stuff? ) Waddayathink?

Back on topic. I've lost the manual for my Go Pro, is there anyway to change the settings on it, maybe to get better pics in low light etc?

Poo.

there are a few of those appearing in the photo section and they pretty damn good. Quite tempted to mount one on a log and see what happens!!!

They now do a wide angle - not sure if they are in the uk yet, but quality seems alot better. Might have to leave info lying about for the missus as its nearly santa time

Anyone bought the Hero 5 wide angle yet? I have seen shots/filming from front of board and was wondering how people attach them? I have seen the suction attachment that they use for motorsports, is this what people use?

OK I got the wide angle and mounted it to the front of a log! Here's a test shot - not the best as saving those for elsewhere!!! I'm pretty pleased with it so far!

Thanks for posting. got one coming  Was worried about it coming of the front of the board. Quality seems reasonable too, whats the filming like?

Did you use the FCS mount or the suction one? Easy to fit/use?

I haven't tried the video function yet. Will on the next session. I used a stick on pad - that it now stuck to the front of my board! Seemed to hold very well. The only movement I had was in the angle of the camera but with a bit of extra tightening it didn/t move. I have 5 shots that I will use somehow in the next CL!!! SO quality is good in my opinion.

Thanks again. I have one for the motorsports suction thing, but would be interested in a pic of how you attached it if possible?

I have the surf one coming - I will use it for motorsports as well. I have chopped the origianl go pro in for it as it broke.

In the past Bren I have just velcro'd the base gopro onto my car using velcro. I put a bit of velcro on my tomtom mount then just attach the camera to the mount.
Have tested on the back and side window. Reakon this new mount will attach to the outside of the car too.

There are loads of places selling the accessories (try google), but I do have the name of the main UK distributor at home if you are struggling.
