Backhand Air...

Postby mealy » Sun Feb 20, 2005 8:49 pm

I took this shot just after xmas at a secret spot in Cornwall. The rider is Rob Watson and he was surfing really well that day and i got a few real nice photos.
The major problem with all the shots i took that day was the heavy backlighting. So i got home and played about with Photoshop and decided i prefered it in black and white.
What do you think?

Yes, well er, I'm not too sure actually thinking about it, I probably landed and fell off like a gimp. And Challabrough is at Bigbury right next to Bantham. Great wave, probably one of my faves, you should check it out if you're in the area mate.

Cheers, and chally is a mid to high tide break and personally I reckon it's way better than bantham. It's a real bowly playground style left, great for moves. I reckon you'd love it.

This was on another day at high tide, much bigger than it looks :D I was wondering about that thing in the channel too, lol.

Nice! Looks like a fat SW winter swell wrapping round into the bay! Lots of waves like this up my way too... Mostly unsurfed as they only usually get going in mid winter storms!

Nice pics though! Keep them gems under the belt!
