Reminds me a bit of Nat Young in Crystal Voyager, probably because I don't know wtf I'm talking about.

Is there a name for that board shape ? Looks pretty retro. Or maybe it's the style of surfing?

That board is a "V Bowls", shaped by Ryan Lovelace, if I remember right. A Displacement Hull influenced midlength.
I'd rather see that style of surfing than a lot of the chop-hop-grovelling that passes for "ripping" these days. (I may be a grumpy old git though). More good stuff like that on his blog here.....
