So, not exactly
surf photography but under the surf off of Queensland. This is the first part of our dive on HMAS Brisbane, a Perth Class guided missile destroyer scuttled in 2005 to create a diving reef. This first dive was an orientation dive, down to the mag deck midships, aft over the stbd side, down to and under the keel, forward up the port side to the bow and back along port side to midships before safety stop and exit from the water.
The boat sits in exactly 28m of water so is perfect for open water divers, as the swell had been so small for a couple of days you can see the visibility was huge at about 25-30m.
Shot using a GoPro HD Hero Wrist Mount with an after market Snake River Prototyping flat lens to reduce water diffraction, aside from some wobbling I reckon it looks alright
