As Rob says Roy, Nats surfing in that clip uses noseriding as a piece of functional surfing instead of what I would term 'hood-ornament' noseriding - simply using the pocket of the wave to move forward and get the trim speed up on that flat rocker upfront - now that's what noseriding is about imho (however, don't get me wrong, could watch someone like CJ get perched all day long)
Yep the Sam is not going to work over a certain length - but is there any template (possibly the simmons and a glider) that will work from extremely short lengths to extremely long?
the Sam is just a great, functional, enjoyable surf craft - can't wait to get mine

- The velo template can be stretched so much, Paul Gross made lots of variations using the 1967 velo template - I'm tring to do the same but the longer 11' versions which I want to make
