As Rob says Roy, Nats surfing in that clip uses noseriding as a piece of functional surfing instead of what I would term 'hood-ornament' noseriding - simply using the pocket of the wave to move forward and get the trim speed up on that flat rocker upfront - now that's what noseriding is about imho (however, don't get me wrong, could watch someone like CJ get perched all day long)

Yep the Sam is not going to work over a certain length - but is there any template (possibly the simmons and a glider) that will work from extremely short lengths to extremely long?

Ahh Mate - The velo template can be stretched so much, Paul Gross made lots of variations using the 1967 velo template - I'm tring to do the same but the longer 11' versions which I want to make
needs some bastardised blanks to get the foam.

I can, and have, made these with Pauls templates - trim machines...longer and longer they go...the more smooth they become.

A little "fuller" all over for a bigger guy. 9'8"x23"x3 1/2" but fully foiled into the ends.

8oz bottom, 2x8oz + patch deck.. In his words, It's an heirloom... Sweet!

the concave changed in only that is goes right out the nose, like the intake on your car, letting the water enter the concave easily, and creating immediate lift. Same single/bevel as always.

these ones have slightly wider templates over all, but are nowhere near as wide as a "noserider" so they still turn really well. Been proving to be real popular, so pretty stoked on the the results!

I had a black decked board once. Don't leave it in the sun for more than a minute deck up, wax melts off em' amazingly fast.

Jory - the bird lam is artwork by the clients better half. Not usually one to do this sorta thing, but it came out classy looking.
