Okay thanks yuoyuo!
Reason why I said 2+1 or single fin is because 1) Never tried (other than longboard, which is bit different), 2) its image falls in nicely with a retro egg shape.
I'm know little about fin set ups besides "thruster = fast, quads = even faster" stereotype, and to me eggy boards looks "right" with a single or 2+1. No real understanding of why so, or how single/2+1 behaves on a mush. Just a thought from appearance point of view; after watching clips of Joel, Rasta, and Rob's single fin fish/egg riding I was inspired with a "retro" genre. Commercially brainwashed, I know (but true).
So thanks for your comment, certainly worthconsidering. One of the first egg boards I was looking online was Luke Young's Kaiten
, and he has it on a quad set-up. Fits nicely with what you mentioned.
Slightly shifting towards Circle One'sPig 5'2" Quad
This tiny thing is 5'2" x 21" 1/4 x 2" 5/8 but still holds nearly 36L volume!
Not so keen on epoxy nor design but if come out at a price short of £300.00 as surfrat says, then I might get one, ride few times, sell it off and chat with Mr. Morning Light.
Just out of curiosity, Jools from Gulfstream is well recognised for his craftsmanship for fish (and in general, really).
Who would come to mind, if any, when it comes to an egg-shaped board?
