What Length Board?

Any discussion on shaping, designing, repairing and riding surfcraft of any type or shape. Also a good place to ask the 'what board should I buy?' question.

i had a UK shaped, by a prominent and very well known chap, thruster fish shape witrh a big ass wide tail made about 14 year ago... frontside it was fine, but i literally could not surf the thing backhand and believe me i'm not one of these people that can only go right (natural foot of course). i put it down entiterely to the tail. and then the board fell to bits within 6 months. last uk board i had. never ever had a prob with any of my aussie/cali fish, surfwise or construction.
a world of waves and a world of ways to ride them!

This was a lightweight thing. I know when the first ding got repaired the lad was amazed how thin it was. Very well glassed, but super thin. Gutting.
