Any discussion on shaping, designing, repairing and riding surfcraft of any type or shape. Also a good place to ask the 'what board should I buy?' question.
Just bought a new board that needs a repair have done to one of the rails, have done some minor repair work before on my other boards but wondering where to start with this.
Only 2 of the cracks have actually broken the skin the rest of them are underneath the outer skin.
Should I cut out all the damaged material and use solarez to fill? Or glass over it?

Just sand the area to key it and glass a new patch of cloth over all the cracks.

If that's a fairly new Firewire with a bamboo deck I'd get it done professionally. Could lead to major problems if not done well.

This, and cut the cloth diagonally to prevent fraying.
