Which boards??

Any discussion on shaping, designing, repairing and riding surfcraft of any type or shape. Also a good place to ask the 'what board should I buy?' question.

Which boards??

Postby roberdy » Fri Aug 09, 2013 3:09 pm

So, if you had to pick two of the following to take to Brisbane with you which would it be?

6'0 Rusty Dwart copy - My Precious, 5 fins of goodness shaped by AB3.
6'2 Campbell Bros Bonzer Speed Egg, shaped by Malcolm at Empire a few years ago, bit more rocker than the Precious and a bit more refined in the rail line.
6'4 Royal Dynamo Diamond tail thruster, only 6'2 to the start of the diamond and 6'4 to the tip. Solid rocker, built for jucier waves.
6'8 Empire Prophet, best point break board I have ridden, buttery smooth lines and awesome drawn out turns...

I have a 7'2 wheeled double coffin that I just can't get three of them into!

Help!!

I'll have to wait a couple of months at least to get the others :(

Nah, is only me travelling first, she is coming out in October once the permanent transfer is finalised. So I am on one person's allowance and that will be slightly carrier dependant too, am aiming for Virgin and Quantas as long as there's no BA involvemnt I'll be happy!

Nah I'd ditch the 6'2. Bonzers are scientifically proven to go slower in the southern hemisphere...

Sell it to me.

Take a Gsi seven s SUPERFISH

You'll hate the thing but won't mind when the baggage handlers trash it.

Actually (and don't tell Paul) I just sold this board to a mate, it's been a good time but I am thinking of a 6'0 All Round Nugget when I get out there so need to free some funds for it. That leaves the 6'2 and 6'8 in the double coffin and the 6'4 to pick up when I come back in October for the missus.

Coxie, indeed, it's a worry but I am not saying anything in case in jinx em!
