winter sleighs

Any discussion on shaping, designing, repairing and riding surfcraft of any type or shape. Also a good place to ask the 'what board should I buy?' question.

My current quiver is sub 6', which isn't too great when things gets bigger.

Planning on making a glassless 7' pintail single fin. EPS with wood skin & rails. Should handle anything I have the balls to paddle into providing it doesn't fall to bits.

Thats a great looking board there.. You should check out cyrus suttons new film 'compassing' its a free download from the reef website with links all over the place www.surfermag.com for example.. He spends a lot of the film surfing a 'twin fin pin' by john wesley in cali.. really nice boards from a great surfer/shaper. Shape seems pretty popular over there with mccallum and tyler warren doing versions.. Nice! :-D

Here's a pic of a funky gentleman with a nice vintage twin fin pin:D

Hopefully gonna get a stubby version if funds allow. . .really like the design :D

Dear Mr superyuoyuo,

And thanks for sharing your new star - she does look sparky and sooo sexeeeeey!

Mr g baby.. i would love to post a link but i am just not that computer savvy.. ridiculous really as i seem to spend most my life on the frigging internet - hence my quick response to your post. Google him.. Justin Adams surfing the illegal immigrant at creek.. There are loads of clips of him surfing various different boards all over socal.. he's just one of those blokes who seems to quietly go about his business and is a shit hot surfer, surrounded by other equally talented but 'louder' individuals who draw a lot of attention for whatever reason.. as a starter check the 'tenpiggiesover.blogspot.co.uk' videos on the right hand side 'justin at church' .. happy hunting :-)

Mr ears, so do I obviously - neither do I know how to work with vimeo.
Is it that one? 'cause that's a nice one ;).

Nevermind. Thanks for the tenpiggie's blog - a good read from time to time.

thats the chap... great little clip that! Love the way he surfs, real easy...

Now i'm not suggesting you should be spending too much time on here (i'm going back to work any second... no really) but have a look for kyle lightner surfing a long fish (or mega fish as he calls it) at malibu recently.. Another ridiculously tall man who's just a joyful surfer to watch!! His blog is called 'ahullnewworld.blogspot.co.uk' or pizzatime i believe.. worth a look! right well, i'm off.. :D

I'll keep my eyes peeled - much appreciated, cheers!

Some blokes really do surf like no other. I'm off for a bit of (as "Surfer" would say:) mind surfing. Thanks for the input, really appreciated!

the bearded homeless man has amazing style

Justin Adams is a fecking good surfer! Super stylish. . .

Talking of Infinity surfboards there's a couple of fishy waves here http://vimeo.com/11099479 with Justin Adams, looks like he's on that diamond/pin twin on one tooo. . .interesting to see multiple craft/folk/heights:) on the same day/waves. . .and the sim looking sketchy ;2)

g_baby - glad your missus likes the quad! good old board that one!

:D And if we go on like that, ears, we end up spending 29hours a day in the web, quoting lonely 'surfer'. Or has it become a necessity, somthing we need to do, to us already? :-D

There are not many sports on earth where style and grace meet ana, tbh - but the "bearded homeless" proves us all wrong when saying surfing needs a bit of muscle power, he defo has got the flexibility which is obviously needed. Jealous? You never know until...

Ace shots though, thanks superyuoyuo. But you're not saying that board is old, do you? Probably intending an "old board" of yours, ey ;)

Yep.. its all sounding like heading that way... mind you, you don't choose it, its chooses you.. Okay, got stop that now!

He's a fine surfer.. drawing really nice lines on a keel fin fish in that longer clip.. Great surfing.. Yep, he certainly defies gravity at times.. Right, I'm off de wax and re wax my boards (again) :-)
