planning a first try shape.

Any discussion on shaping, designing, repairing and riding surfcraft of any type or shape. Also a good place to ask the 'what board should I buy?' question.

Hi. thinking about a winter project of shaping a 6'10 egg. Was hoping to go down the cheap eps blank method but doing the research suggests going for a pu blank for first attempt. I notice triocean do a 7'2" minimal blank for about £60. Would this be ideal for the board I have in mind. Thanks, John

Poly resin in particular UV catalysed resin is so quick and simple to use and very cheap. Epoxy is stronger but can be more troublesome in my limited experience.

So if you use poly resin you must use a PU blank. The 7'2 sounds about right.
