EasyJet baggage query

Postby Goat » Tue Aug 15, 2017 1:01 pm

Anyone had recent experience with EasyJet, and packing clothes into the boardbag, to avoid needing hold luggage in addition?

Off to Portugal in late Sept, and while expensive to take board (£80 return), it would be good to if possible.

Do Easyjet generally turn a blind eye to other items in the boardbag?

Thanks

Yeah, as long as it's within the weight limit you can cram as much other stuff in as you like. Flew easyjet back in Feb with most of my stuff in the board bag.

If it's the same as winter sports I just take a ski / board bag load up my essential kit, and then add it pants socks and t shirts until i reach weight limit. (usually 2 of each). Then take hand luggage.

This worked a treat with Easy Jet last September (cheers guys).

Going again to Porgugal in May this year...but with Ryan Air this time. Do you know if they are equally as easy going with stuffing board bag full of clothes etc?

Yep. No bother but they are a bit more fussy on weight now as they have new automated machines. As long as it's under weight you are fine though.
