Ok I'm feeling generous the following a free camp spots in Northumberland where you can
Park a van or pitch a tent right nr the beach

Cresswell middle and south car park. Free parking behind dunes and poss Quiet camping in the dunes. Walk to get away from established paths. Great reefs at south end. Beach bank dependant.

Wark worth beach free camper an and camping

South side alnmouth- again campervan or tent. Super remote

Embleton car park south end be discreet- could camp in dunes

Football hole no van access but great camp spot. You won't see any other surfer

I've left a few gooduns out for Obv reasons

I've recently stayed at trefalen farm campsite in Pembrokeshire - Looks right out over broad haven beach and is only 20min drive to Freshwater West (If the army aren't shooting stuff on the artillery range). Its only £5 a night. One downside is that there are no showers but there is a cold water one in the National Trust car park close by.

Gwithian Farm is really good.

Is there anywhere good in Devon? I want to go in a few weeks, but don't want to drive to the beach!

That beach is pretty poor, sandbanks are virtually non-existent! Definitely a good campsite though, my aunty stays there for a night or two when she comes to visit and loves it!

Sadly, this campsite has now closed :-(

I suspect the camping area has now become an area for running horses from the stables. Guess the horsey riding set brought in more money than the campers.

Here's one I stayed in last August http://coolcamping.co.uk/campsites/uk/wales/west-wales/pembrokeshire/dale-hill-farm

Just a couple of barbed wire fences to negotiate and you're in West Dale.

Great for a night out at the Griffin pub

I also want to go in UK for great camping experience. However, I've spent all of my saving on a medical spa bali. Would go here this year.

Stayed here for a week in September last year. Was a great little site and had everything you need, best of all its 5 min's from the beach...

Not to far away from there:http://www.bedruthanstepscamping.co.uk/

Cheap, cheerful, all pitches will have a view of the sea, fires ok, etc....
