Morocco not worth bothering with late March?

Hi,

I might be a bit late here, but thinking about booking up another surf maroc trip this year, going mid-late March. www.wannasurf.com advises that conditions are poor with incessant onshore winds. Anyone know if this is generally the case, or would it still be worth going?

its hit any miss. first time i went was end of march and anchors was only head high one day out of 15. surfable at the beaches and further up towards immsouane..you could get lucky, but the season is ending

Not gonna happen now anyway, just checked flights and it's going to be £350 - £400+ including board carriage. Same with Fuerte. Next year then.

i did a whole week in portugal in jan incl board carriage, self catering accomm, food, a meal out and a rental car for £300...plus more options. Algarve

And i was just referring to the flights and board carriage alone! All in would be about 900. You got a lot for your money there.

went to the algarve with a mate last week Jan. So cheap, we had a full 3 course meal at Carrapateira O Sitio do Rio and it only came to e30 with his port to. Surfed a nice point break after too. Most I spent was e30 on a night out in Lagos including taxis to/from Luz and I was still annihilated. Mind you I hadn't drunk more than a couple of shandies here and there since the Stone Roses gig last July. Was able to buy my wife some chanel perfume in the airport before dropping the april trip bomb

Good stuff. Trip postponed to April when we'll be doing a group of mates/hire a car trip to portugal. Makes sense. Yup, heard Lagos can be a bit of a party town.
