Anyone been there around this time of year?

Worth going or worth carrying on South?

Go to La Torche first, when it's on it's a top wave.If you're in a van there's a little surf club behind the car park and when I was there you could take free hot showers in there. Sunshine and solid swell for 6 days straight-Happy Days. If it's flat at La Torche it's flat all the way to Aquitaine. If you do go further south surf Hourtin, none of the bullshit that goes with Lacanau and better waves.

La Torche is fucking miles away from Il De Rey
Yeah Il De Rey gets consistent but sloppy surf...the beach at Le Blois is probably the best although the reefs at the northern tip of the island can get interesting...beautiful place though.

Hey Martski, far from being 'fucking' miles away, La Totche is closer and if you're hugging the coastline and surfing your way down you can pass it. If it's on then it would save you heading 'further south'
