a great book on surfing

One day last week I got the idea that I would actually like to spend some money on a good book about surfing. I am thinking of a reference book that I can kind of dash on my table to read through stuff once in a while. A book that deals with everything from conditions, beaches, waves to boards, basic technique, advanced technique, training and so on. Maybe even the most famous locations. You know, just the huge book on surfing.

Anyone seen it?

Or any other recommendable piece of surfing literature?

I've had heaps of surf books, this is the best by far.
