The same way I know how when it's time to switch to my summer suit.
I send my valet out first, then he dresses me appropriately.
Of course if one can't afford a manservant, one must makes ones own mind up for themselves.

If you are a real soul surfer and tune into the pure, karmic, spiritual vortex of man and nature locked in a symbiotic relationship with each other and you draw life energy form the ocean pulses, then you'll just know.

When it feels like you have caught a fever even though you should have been cooling down slightly in the water? Some summer days here, wetsuit is really required cause water temps drop to 15 degrees due to some cold water surge.
However, this is only a few days every summer, and it is quite easy to get the idea that you may be having too much clothes on, with all that neoprene, when the rest of the surfers only use sunga and you feel like your flesh is starting to separate from the bones.

When everyone else in the water isnt wearing the said hat / gloves / boots and you're left feeling like a bit of a woose. I like being warm, is that so bad? :P
