Hi Guys.

This is my first post here but ive already found loads of great info.

I wanted to ask how you work out thefir of a board? Ive got a 7ft 3 minimal thats 21" wide by 2 3/4" thick.

Any help really appreciated.

I've seen a formula on the net that'll give you a answer. The answer may not be right but it could be close enough depending on the design of your board.

If board is over 6':

((72 + inches over 6' ) / 2) * length * width
---------------------------------------------- = Volume
61


For you this works out as:

(((72 + 15) / 2) * 21 * 2.75 ) / 61 = 41.14ltrs


I've been using this formula to research shortboards and in my experience the results have a 10 - 15% error rate plus or minus.

Cheers dude. For some reason I would of thought it would be higher. I've seen smaller fish with higher volume.
