These are the best online tutorials I've found, especially number 10 "Catching Unbroken Waves" helped me get my head around it

Agreed. Nice to get an analytical view on something that seems unanalytical.

If only they did one on "How to pop up without getting to your knees first and if you have got it into the habit, how to get out of it!"

Any ideas above strength and dry land practice? :oops:

Have a look at the post by cricket in this thread. Makes a very fluid movement analytical, and breaks down what the pop up actually is.
