Hey don't be so hard on these guys..... I mean if you don't know, you don't know right?

I mean a leash has TWO ends. It can get pretty confusing sometimes.

I was going to ask for a tutorial on how to wax a board next. That's pretty confusing too..... there's all the different colours and shapes and brands and shit, and of course the different waxes for different WATER TEMPERATURES..... Then I saw this.....

Which just goes to prove the adage that "It is impossible to satirize modern life".

One my early days with my first board, I thought I knew how to attach the leash to the board.

Went to Watergate on a strong onshre wind (I didn't really care about "clean" or "pumping" condition, just wanted to get out there and max my water time), got battered (obviously) trying to go out in the back. After 10min of getting pounded by the incoming flock of white horses, I noticed that I had a massive gash on my tail.

Didn't attach the leash properly and the string from the leash plug sliced through the tail. Went to a local shaper to repair it for me and he told me what happened and how to avoid it. Lesson learned the hard way.

Everyone makes a noob mistake at some point in his / her surfing life. Everyone starts out just the same. Unless you were surfing before you were able to crawl on four.

But there are things that you can avoid with a little common sense... like how to put on leash properly... confession over.
