Something Short and Wide

Postby russneversleeps » Fri Mar 22, 2013 10:57 am

Looking for a cheap workhorse board that will fit on a bike rack and won't blow about too much riding to the beach in a south coast gale. Sounds like fun doesn't it? I've got a couple of nice boards for good waves but I'm finding it increasingly hard to get motivated for marginal local conditions.

So... something fishy, short and wide, I'm thinking along the lines of surftech Stretch or boardworks Hynson, but am open to suggestions?

Cheers,

Russell

My ex girlfriend would suit you down to the ground! ha! (Sorry, couldn't resist!).

What's your budget and how short? There's a couple of interesting shapes on eBay at the moment....

Hehe

Sounds like she might be a bit corky.

Short and wide. But not round.

Budgeting on the low side, mainly because I don't want anything too swish. It sounds ridiculous but the shape is almost secondary to the ease of transport. This is for surf in Brighton so we're talking short rides, wind swell, crowds...

Thinking 5'8 to 6' but i'm easy if its something interesting. (Sorry, we're back to your ex again)

Right then.

Changed my mind.

looking for a tall, willowy type of thing that will look good in the passenger seat of the snappy car that I can't afford.

Easy to get going, smooth ride ... etc, etc

What a team!

That's not bad at all.

Would you be interested in shipping it over?
