Wetsuit Adjustments

Postby HD7 » Sat Jul 13, 2013 8:35 pm

Just bought my first proper wetsuit after using a shit osprey one from the range for months

Basically it fits perfect everywhere but the legs are a little long. Is it best to fold them back or have the material bunched or fold the material and have the closed end facing down as it should? Also, had a look at the ends and they are just folded over and stitched a few times so could I just take it to any dressmaker?

Reason being that for my height I have short legs and I don't have hundreds to spend on getting the perfect wettie really.

Cheers

Cut off to length with a pair of scissors, lots of suits are finished in this way. You have no warranty claim but you have a serviceable suit.

unless the ends of the suit are around your heels do you need to make it shorter ?

May just cut and stitch it then.

And by the sounds of it then it does need to be made shorter.
