Stoke surf today!

That swell running tonight was a good one...only had a few hours to surf so jumped into north bay..in hindsight should maybe have hit the right seein as it glassed off but was already 7 by the time i got to scarbs.

Anyway some solid 3ft surf and a few long rights and lefts. Started working on grab rail cutbacks on a few but i am not so great at them haha

Hey dudes !!! We here in the great state of New Jersey, as long as much of the Right Coast of America, have had plenty waves this June. Totals stoke, dudes......Now Yesterday(Saturday June 16), I was expecting the onslaught of summer tourists. All of the schools are out for the summer, the Philadelphia schools finishing their last day on Friday....

So I walk through the path to the beach(have to walk through a nature preserve area to get to my jetty....pure friggin New Jersey wilderness) and BOOM !!! There was only seven tourist trucks and no douche bags in the water. I had it to my self......in June.......on a Saturday......As Borat would say, "Nice!!" Two gays tried to paddle out but could not get out. Yeah there was a swell but the paddle out was easy. Well, it was easy for skilled Americans maybe not for Europeans......cause no disrespect but most of y'all can't shred all too well.

Last Wednesday was side offshore at my spot and fun as hell.........winds were side shore at most New Jersey beaches but mine faces south, ya dig.......And it's been 3-6' since. And we've had waves all month. And the cast of the Jersey Shore MTV show are back in Seaside Heights........shit one of them even got arrested the first week!! Italians !!!

Took handplane out today, way too weak. Borrowed a foamy from a mates surf school and had a blast!

Reef A crap, Beach A crap, Beach B hmmm, Reef B, acceptable... Just up the road from Tynemouth, only info i can probably give away is '<3'! You'll know where it is if you know what i mean. Wasn't expecting any waves but on pushing tide got to about shoulder high and really clean/shallow lefts along the reef, got fat at high tide and got out. Friend went off and logged Longsands, but wasn't feeling it on a shortboard. All in all good surf and good to be given a tour of a few new spots up here

Stoked but no surf...went a few reefs snorkeling instead...beautiful day and the water was remarkably clear for the north sea...all surfers should snorkel...if only to check out what you are ridng over-

Sweet, see much down there? The water was minging last week, couldn't see my feet when sat on the board. However i had been told if you look in the right place you can find clear water heaven! Guess the lack of swell has let things settle a bit

Amazingly clear yesterday. Always go out over reef(no sand to blur the water) and you need a cloudless sky and pretty calm conditions for a couple of days prior to to going out. The landscape under our boards is something worth exploring and i saw plenty of fish and crabs. Snorkels & fins are pretty cheap so give it a go.

Friday night headed out and enjoyed the last of the swell at Longsands. Even though the winds were strong the waves were standing up like soldiers proper offshore. Took some getting used to getting blasted in the face with wind and possibly sand on each pop up - great fun though and waves to good to miss

This morning - great sesh - again at Longsands - first time I've managed to pop up, drop, trim, turn and go back down the face again. Felt gobsmacked as this has been my target for the past few years. I think the purchase of a longboard and many hours of practise are starting to pay off. I was on my minimal fo this today but having the longbaords took my learning/experience up a notch. Felt so positive going into work today it's like things are just starting to really click into place.
The waves this morning were lush - clean faces and quite easy to get out back not like usual. Guessing everyone was nursing Euro 2012 hangovers as nobody else was in!

Only waist high or so but loads of little kegs forgot how much fun it can be on a sponge!

Got a few nice wedges there on my tod last week, small but super clean, 6am ish so prob why on my tod but Roger P was getting out from his sesh. That guy surfs more than anyone I know. Picked up some vans off him after my surf before he scooted off SW bound for a week (via the Manchester Springsteen concert, just shy of a four hour set by all accounts )

yup.got 2-3 weeks off in august where i expect ill be at the gf's in devon

Really good surf tonight with Harkii down the local - 1st time it's been working in months.

Out on my new Royal Mini-Log - junky waves but managed to snag a good few noserides on it

Heavy, but small noserider, pinched out rails, turned up in the tail, and scooped deck into a slight concave... Theory behind it was to loosen it up, and also let the tail get sucked into the pocket/soup for noserides. (eloquently put Rob)

p.s. to the guy in the Toyota Hiace taking all the pictures, the reason me and Harkii were the only ones there is because we keep our mouths shut ............. if you're reading this then please do the same.
