That's Perranporth, got fatter as the tide pushed in. I'm thinking that was the best surf I've ever had?!?!?! Don't mind a bit of fat myself.

Croyde on tuesday evening was a bit of mushy fun, water was lovely. Then saturday morning was great, lovely shaped summer swell - took the groom out for a pre wedding dawny then dragged him to the church for 11. absolutely shattered later at the reception but worth it.

wee surf on Saturday afternoon with Harkii & the Janitor - swapped boards with the Janitor who was riding Harkii's log by Morning Light that he never got on with - heavy glassed nose rider with loads of foam - the thing absolutely flew compared to what I was riding - it's now in my garage - possession is 9/10's of the law !! Need to get some cash together

Finally, some waves! Half day off work at Rest Bay. 30+ rides on the Egg, of 2ft clean goodness. Days like today definitely make me want to re-add a longboard to my quiver, it would make the most of the conditions.

Few decent ones on Saturday with the troops - not very big, not very fast but warm water, mates, patter & a few good rides :-)

Belter of a surf tonight with the lads. Got a keeper of an image in my head of Harkii dropping into a wave at the end of a perfect rainbow - he shoulda gone left though

Brooding skies, rolling seas, breaking waves getting fired up bright by occasional burst of sunshine - new board, what's not to like on as Friday after work :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

The one night my pal who was home from Canada was in Aberdeen, and able to go out on the sesh. Ach well, was a good night. Until the next swell...

Cracking surf with the Janitor yesterday morning - big meaty onshore lumps, sizeable drops and breaking left as well as right which is rare down there 8)

Went in later in the day with Harkii & Gordo - knew it would be shite by then but was greedy and went anyway - it was shite

BIG WEDNESDAY  head high nasty rolling seas - superb surf with the usual suspects.

Nearly collected the Janitor on a thumping left - I saw him as I was coming out of my bottom turn - he was desperately trying not to go down with the lip , I had to gun it to get underneath him before I got the fibre-glass axe to the head............. said my face was a picture

Nearly 3 hours in yesterday afternoon with the usual suspects

sore neck - check
sore head - check
sore back - check

The day after surfing these days feels like a hangover to me .................. need to get back to the yoga.

can confirm my neck hurts also, mainly from jumping off a wee wave that ran out of steam only to be clunked by its cousin following through.

Cracking surf tho :-D

Just back from 3 days of fun on Gower with the diplock twin I got from Butthole. Shit the bed that thing is fast. So fast I doubt I will ever be in control riding it! Doesn't stop it putting a massive grin on my face though! Alot of fun! Very especially stoked on yesterdays very wintery session in the wind and rain. Shoulder high and sectioning with spray all over the place but the odd open wall was zipped along at warp speed - like shit off a shovel!

Some nice easy walls to be had in Newquay bay this afternoon - had some fun.
Got a bit random as the session went on though and I made the mistake of "one last wave" for half an hour!

Last few weekends in UK have been good. Last Sunday was brilliant. Nice to be getting in every week recently, and currently on holiday in Peniche, Portugal.

Been consistent 5ft swell so far, and very fun. I'd forgotten how much more power there is over here! Received a few beatings so far.

Aberdeen beach about as big and heavy as it gets over the weekend. Lovely hollow shorebreak if you could snag out of out the closeouts
