Sorry to urinate in your cornflakes Shaun, but mine took nearly 2 years to stabilise and I still need to watch it very carefully.
 Ah shit, not 2 weeks then? Physio booked in 6 weeks then got a trip I want to be able to surf on. Starting some exercise when the shoulder settles down a bit.

I've got on-going shoulder stuff (haven't most surfers?!). Let me know if you want to grab a beer and chat about it! I'm partway through rehabbing my currently.

Also, DEFINITELY go and see a proper, private sports therapist/physio. NHS aren't about actual rehab for a sport, they're about getting you back to work. I can recommend a couple if you like.

I should do this for living!

Definitely see private if you can afford it, and you can get a decent one nearby recommended.

Took me about 3 months til i was climbing and surfing pain free

Come good info here http://theshortspan.com/features/injury/shoulder.htm

You can get theraband off amazon, or just cuts strips of an old bike inner tube.

Or google for rotor cuff recovery exercises, tons of info online.

Just don't overdo it.

Yes I'm trying to rest it. Got old innertube so could use that. Thanks for links etc.
Apart from when I did my knee, this is the worst injury for a long time.

Yes old and decrepit, has to be admitted/reminded sometimes! You can thank me for all the pumping swell over the next few weeks.

Don't use the whole thing, over range of motion the load will be too great.

Worth getting some theraband off amazon. The blue stuff is good mid level difficulty

Yeah I looked at that, cheaper than I thought it was going to be.
