Today, hospitals are usually funded by the state, by health organizations, health insurances or charities, including by direct charitable donations.

Skewered my wrist on a bit of steel but managed to peel the flap of skin that came off back over the top. Ouch.

did this in august - down that long hill to little fistral carrying a fishing rod too . 8) Never jump off your board when u see a speedbump coming at high speed! haha. the bump was small and the bruise non-existant, but went for a surf and the bump went to that size. lifeguards sent me to hospitla but nothing serious luckily, still got the bump now tho 1 month later!

I will never forget the pain. My foot got decapitated off my leg. I was skating a bowl basically training. For the up coming surf season and I went into it too fast with way too much speed and aggression. And my back foot slipped off and landed on the coping. and it went pop.

apart from the fecked intercostals from over - surfing / paddling wrong ( arching up too much ) , have got the maddest min-mal - nose shaped bruise that stretches from inside upper thigh to pelvic bone , comlete with ominous lump, all from yet another duck diving disaster - two inches lower and it was maritime castration time.

For everyone getting neck rash check out the NeckTech rash reducer. I've been surfing for 20 years and always get horrible neck rash from all of my suits. I use to smear Vaseline all over my neck which would get all over my suits, ruining them. Also, it seemed the Vaseline would never work the entire time I was surfing.

To combat this problem I recently purchased a NeckTech rash reducer from Andrews Water Sports (http://www.andrewswatersports.com). I wear it every time I surf and never get neck rash. It's fairly inexpensive and works really well. Definitely worth the $20.

Just returned early from Indo with nasty bout of dysentry (or however ya spell it). Plus reef scars on my back, and an unfortunate head plant at Ulus resulting in large Gorbachev esque sacr on my forehead. Also creaky neck as a result of said head plant

....give me sympathy please

Knee's been playing up again for a while and today the old miniscus cartilage tore into two.

Looking at an MRI next week followed by surgery..... again.

mate, it takes a lot longer than 2 months for a ligament to heal, try 6 months before you test it again ! took mine 5 years before it stopped hurting every now and then

meh! this fucking kills! dunno how i cut it originally, but i heals into a tough scab/solid bit of skin, then everytime i surf it splits and pisses blood everywhere. i was at sea and it healed over a space of 3 months and i was like great it shouldnt burst again, first surf booom fucking blood everywhere, good job its winter now and wearing boots for a good few months should let it heal again. i reckon putting a tailpad on all my boards should stop it bursting aswell as its a little softer.

but tbh im not going to spend 100's on tailpads for all my boards, im just gunna man the fuck up!!

That's ming. How did you first do it? You sure there's nothing in there? Would go to hospital / medic and have it lanced so it drains properly.

first did it surfing, maybe caught it on a fin somehow, i think its just where the boney part of my skinny foot has bin rubbing on the wax/deck of the board and its goes so sore its bled and turned into a scabby bit of skin. its not puss'y or anything, was thinking of going sickbay at work, but my feet are stinking real bad lately so im going to save the embarrassment

Yeah, good idea, rather suffer with a long term injury than be embarrased by slightly smelly feet  Sure they are used to it.

John, you have developed what is known in the trade as a 'back foot bunion'.

Think of it more as a badge of honour than a hinderance, as after a while it will toughen up and just look like you are growing an extra toe.

Mine bled incessantly for a whole summer and turned into this volcanic hole of ulcer-like pain before healing. At one point, skin grew over the top of it, leaving a bleeding hole inside, which sounds similar to what you may be experiencing.

Check my post of Tyler Warren's foot earlier in this thread.

Welcome to the club! :-D

if you can't stop your feet from stinking bu surfing more and wearing flip flops, get some betadine iodine scrub from boots for abut £5 a litre and use that twice a day, the women won't retch so much when you get them home then... Worked for me.
