Initial injury was circa 2001, had the reconstruction circa 2003 after other methods of trying to sort it failed. Probably 8 months or so from the op till I was back in the sea. Started out on a log, then a magic carpet, a 6'6 shortboard and then back down to my regular 6'0 range of boards.

It is my back leg, still have a few problems now and then trying to surf like I did before the injury, but its a lot better now  Don't think I will ever make an the Olympic Ski team tho! :-D

I'm stoked it's flat.
Thought it would start pumping as soon as I got an injury!

Deadly I was told by the top sports doctor in the country last week that MRI will not always show a trapped nerve, ask about having a nerve conduction (nerve velocity) test as well as it should identify a fully tapped nerve but even this can miss them.

But then again I might be a racist bullshitter that has multiple personalties, who is really called Matt so you can ignore this.

Make sure that you are not wearing womens knickers - bright, pink womens knickers - when you have your scan, you might get away with them under the wetsuit but the radiologist will not be impressed.
