What are you looking for exactly :?: Quick hint though, do not post your work on the net as it will be ripped of by every loser on the planet. Make like the yakuza and keep your tattooing to yourself.

Well i've already got a couple of black & grey wave motifs...one in a band around my upper arm and a breaking wave in a circle on my shoulder so something in a similar style i guess although i'm quite open to other designs...i quite like the japanese tsunami wood block prints as well ?

Oddly - I have "DEPARTURES ONLY" on my ass, as I live in Plymouth, the good ol naval port. If I pass out drunk or battered in an ally and some midnight 'hoop-stretcher' whips down my pants, he can see quite clearly stuff only comes out of there - nothin ever goes in!!

Cheers TT...

This thread appearing now is weird as I'm actually part way through designing a tattoo for someone in out in cyberspace-land...

I'd like to have a crack at the Zombie on the surfboard design (I know it's not Celtic but I do other stuff too...) ... Afraid there is a fee but I give 10% to surfers against sewerage (for all my art works) so you can feel extra good as well as have a cool new tattoo !!

No worries. I must admit that looking for surf inspired tattoos is really difficult. There are a lot of cool things about surfing but a lot of it doesn't translate very well on the skin. Someone drew a design for me and it was a surfboard with a wave behind it with some flowers around... LAME! I hated it! Surfboards are beautiful objects but on the skin they always come out looking like ironing boards. If you're inspired by the Japanese stuff then go down that route, they always include the different elements which relates to surfing. I just think you always need to carry on with the Japanese theme. It doesn't flow right when you see a gorgeous Japanese back piece and then an old celtic armband (which doesn't go all the way around  ).

See, if it was me I would get Jesus rising out of a wave giving the finger :-D ...oooh now that is an idea!

the bit in the middle is nice (the surfer) but not sure about all the crap around the outside, it's all a bit irrelevant to the surfing theme

^^^ yeh i like the dragon and surfer but cant stand the skull or see any reason for the Celtic/tribal shite behind it.
Im sick of maori and celtic bands, feel sorry for people who had them done years ago as every wannabe surfer has jumped on that bandwagon last few years i like to see stuff thats original or means something in particular to the wearer otherwise whats the point in permanently marking your body with it, just makes you look like a sheep/cunt
saw a cool one few years back a guy i was chatting to had a fuck off massive indian chiefs head put on his back (over the course of a couple of weeks in queenstown) with a wolfs head hat (as he felt a wolf was his totem animal) and the wolf headpiece had been given his eyes, was truely a work of art and amazingly original wish id taken a picture

I dunno how it is in the rest of the country, but the thing that ' caahhhncil estate' girls have here in London is a tribal thingy on their backs just above the waist, so you get a view of the tribal band and their thong over the top of their jeans.

Very common 8)

^^^ the old splash deck tattoos are great. :-D

How about a nice tat of a pressure chart? Or some representation of a low pressure and a surfer interwined, with some dark brooding clouds in there for the gothic feel.

I'm now remembering a pic I saw by some famous artist in maybe TSP a year or so ago. Was a not quite cartoon like wave peeling endlessly around an small circular island. Some cool imagery in that idea. I've looked and can't find it online...anyone else?

EDIT - this is the puppy -
