maps are no good. i dont have time to google every single beach and most of them dont give good info anyway.

wouldnt go to wembury or chally mate, its always flat. and there is an angry scottish man who chases people with an axe + corners you in the public toilets.

go to BANTHAM its the best spot ever near plymouth

if you don't want crowds, then it's probably best to leave the Bantham cam link out of your sig?!

So that's thousands of years of cartography written of in one fell swoop then

Oh FFS are you that much of a dullard you can't work out from a map roughly how far it is on a map or do the funny squiggly lines make you brain hurt :?

Buy a stormrider from MSW - you might then be contributing something

wow, is every user on here an arsehole? Or just the ones who are trying to keep their spots hidden from everyone else? What happened to the sense of community in surfing?

You weren't the guy I saw at Saunton carrying a Bing with just the middle waxed were you (see thread)? :P ...Now come on all you surfers, let's show humility to our Bristol brother..I'm quite happy to share local spots with you so you can cut out the dull & tedious job of exploration...I recommend highly, Limpets, Boilers,Gasworks (on the right day),sh*tpipe,Terraces, Crappys & Outers. They're all within easy reach of Plymouth...Hope that helps ?

on behalf of dragstarbiker (what i think he really meant to say...)

Hi everybody, I am new on this forum and I would appreciate some friendly input.

I am moving soon to be with my girlfiend who is going to uni at exeter or plymouth - not sure which one yet

As i live quite a distance away and i am skint, I can't afford to make many trips to explore the local areas.

I have had a look at some local maps and read some books, but know that local knowledge and having some people to share the stoke with will make the move an easier one.

If there are any locals who would like to help out a blow in, then I would appreciate the hand of friendship.
I am willing to do my share of driving \ pay for petrol etc and am flexible as to when I go as I dont have a job \am a satudent \shift worker etc...(delete as applicable)

looking forward to meeting some like minded people as am a bit daunted by moving to a completly new area where I don't know many surfers.....

Thanks in advance and maybe see some of you in the water

or words to that effect....

btw I am not from around that area so i am unable to offer any assistance

good luck and remember don't take the piss and you should be fine.

get your missus to join http://www.freewebs.com/pusc/

AND IF YOU ARE TROLLING, YOU ARE AN ARSE cos i had to reset my password to respond to this
i should move closer to the coast
edit. i did move closer to the coast, but further from the surf.....
