I can't find it at the moment, but on first glance I think I read that there was scope for further dredging of the approach channel (maybe for future expansion?). I'll try and find it again.

In the Moore report there seems to be some discussion about RMP Cl008a006. I guess RMP is Record of Momument and Place. With Cl008a006 being something which their paperwork suggested was excavated by a one Ann Lynch in 1996. Can't find what that was now. Completely unrelated to surfing though so...

Those new docs are so much more detailed than the black and white ones! I haven't had a look over them yet and tbh I don't know what I'd be looking for in terms of possible damaging effects of 'Layout H'. Anyone else had a look and got any comments on the graphs?

I'm gonna try and compare the existing layout and layout H but it's really hard as you need to keep scrolling up and down between pages to do so. Printing it off would make it so much easier. Maybe I'll try to do a jpeg edit jobbie... would anyone want to see that?

Clare, has applied to Mr. Phil Hogan T.D., Minister for the Environment, Heritage and Local Government for permission to occupy an area of foreshore at Doolin, Co. Clare for the purpose of constructing an access road, pier structure, revetment protection to the pier structure and associated dredging works at Doolin Pier, Doolin, Co. Clare.

Any person who wishes to make an objection to, or a representation in respect of, the grant of the permission sought should do so, giving their reasons in writing, to:

The Foreshore Unit, Department of the Environment, Heritage and Local Government, Newtown Road, Wexford within 21 days of publication of this notice. (Ref: MS 51/11/234)

All objections and representations received will be forwarded to the applicant for comment prior to any decision being made in the matter.
