It's not just for SUPs

It's usually setup for bodysurfing waves, but occasionally they crank it up for surfing comps. The SUP comp was the only vid I could find online at short notice.

looked quite good but i bet after 3 or 4 waves the fatness of the first section would really start to annoy you. good surfing from Dean, saw him in Arrifana in December when he'd just got that board.
i was loving the music in the vid too
but would i pay for that....hmmm i really don't know

Gold Coast campsite in Woolacombe are building a wave pool. I was told it would be ready for this summer. No idea what type, but the guy said it would be a proper wave rather than the flowrider type.

they got a flowrider style thing at Woolacombe Bay/Golden Coast site. body board only unless you know the guys running it.

We might be talking about the same thing and we might not...don't know. I was there about 3 weeks ago and the guy in the shop ...was it "Martin"??? ...said they were about to start building one there. New thing..didn't see any plans or early phase of work, so I don't know.

Yes I went to the Santosha Island one in Singapore and sun city - rubbish compared to above.
