Who is running surfing in the UK now?

Postby freebird54 » Thu Feb 09, 2012 11:57 pm

Surfinggb seems to have a website under construction.

If they had to arrange a team for an overseas comp who would do it?

There is no point if you aren't interested in competition surfing. Hence why most people never joined..

So no one then?

There is a need as you are all aware - if only to spend the money the government gives the governing body?

Who would you like to run it?

Is there? I bet at least 90% of surfers don't give a shit, it seems to have been a gong show from the start. Why do you care so much?

And if it came to a vote I would back Roy.

Someone needs to sort out the competitive side of it and also teach youngsters...superb for them. Now I have no idea who should do that and if it needs to be done via an official body...the sporting side does if it is seriously wanting to compete...no different to any other sport.

But...a GB body? Scotland may soon be independent so that's a wee spanner for them to think about.

Must be a recent move in things - I just had a survey monkey from Adrian at Fluid Juice (as will hundreds others) getting feedback from folk on what they want from the new Group.

As I keep telling you I'm 100% against fascism of any description.

If you think otherwise you are deluded.

I'm in support of Nigel Farage, Winston Peters, and Ron Paul, all of whom are in favour of democracy, individual liberty and smaller government.

For your information Israel is a fascist state, the EU is a fascist state, and the USA is a fascist state.New Zealand is not far behind.

This picture might amuse you, perhaps the BSA logo is on the rear?

Interesting photoshop. The confederate flag and the union jack eh? If anything I think the confederate flag is the wrong choice, given the fact that it is corporate sponsored war they are poking fun at. I wouldn't really associate that with the redneck southern states (and not just because the stock exchange/corporate power is based in new york etc...)

Obviously its a symbol of slavery, is that what they are getting at? Still, most people who would wave the confederate flag wouldn't be supporters of Israel (or probably know where it is on a map, but that's going off track) or involved in lobbying government.

Am I over analyzing a joke?

Thread hijack in full flow
