Yes it is very popular. So far I have taken 4 sets of clients to Pamplona from Biarritz. During San Fermin I have at least one transfer a day on this route.
I dropped some clients off this morning at 10:00 and there were still plenty of people staggering around having stayed up all night.

If you would like some more information about the town and the event have a look at my page here: http://www.biarritzairporttransfers.com ... plona.html
I'm going there again tomorrow morning and I'm going to film a time lapse video of the journey. I'll post the video and that page at some point in the next week.

If you do intend to visit, I would suggest start the booking procedure now. The best apartments and hotels get booked up really early.

did it aged 17 back in 75 allways wanted to do it after the reading of a hemingway book which made it all seem so romantic and adventourous...the reality was got slammed into a doorway and crushed by about 20 overweight fat spaniards great party atmosphere surrounding it all.... 8)

Utterly nothing to do with surfing. Should be in the macho bollox/scare a cow section.

fair enuff mate its an emotive subject but..afraid its got everything to do with surfing...if you are young, dumb, slightly adventurous and like partying..which every surfer i know of fits this bill at some time

AND at some point you end up in north Spain France during July and it goes flat

you will prob end up here at some point

you dont need to run...the party is justification enough to attend...like any of the big spanish town/village events you have to experience...the spanish put the best party on in the world i think...

Most of my clients (quite a few of them are surfers) travel from either San Sebastian or Biarritz. Sometimes just for the evening or sometimes on their travels around Europe.

Apparently someone was gored on the first day too. But I could't find any more information about that.
I'm going to be running this Wednesday. If anyone else is there, I'll be the one wearing chain mail underneath my whites.
