Hiring a board in Cornwall

Postby baggins » Thu Aug 09, 2012 12:45 pm

Long shot this like but has anyone got any tips for hiring a board when down in Cornwall? places/prices
Gutted but i cant fit my minimal or longboard under my roofbox....

tried strapping it to the side/on top and it looks erm...just wrong!

looks like it might be a case of shelling out for a swell board every other day on our hols this year

cheers

I've got a 6'10" minimal your welcome to hire cheaply. I don't know the normal rates but if you are interested we could discuss. Its a WE, pleasant & fun to use.

We were down SW a couple of weeks ago & saw loads of roofbox with surfboards on top heading down when we were leaving ....

try putting additional straps round front & back of board & thru the windows , soft rack stylee, to take away the pivot / torsion fear

where in cornwall are you staying?

There is escape surfboards which hire fibreglass surfboards and there is also zuma jay in bude. I stayed in bude and hired a 5'9 black and white puffin quad surfboard for a week for £80. Zuma jay have various boards to hire and I was very pleased with the service. Escape surfboards also have very good hire.

link for escape surf hire: http://www.escapesurfboards.biz/staffan ... dhire.html

I was in the same situation as you because I could not take my own board.

Hope this helps.
