Get the decs up, looks shit on the live cast, about 30 out fighting for close outs. Dunno how the tide effects it tho'

But yeah go Parko, never seen an interview with him when I've not thought at the end, 'what a chilled out nice thankful bloke he seems'

It's the finale of the 8th "north sea board short challenge" and it's going down to the line like last year... Stew or rich for the dip

Good viewing no doubt! ... & tomorrow is looking way better!

Now I don't mind JOB but after last years mugging by the judges for his switch foot he tries it again & snaps a board - lesson leant maybe?

Dream ending for Parko! :-D

No better way to finish than giving 2 fingers to all those giving him heat for not winning an event!

Great final day, had it on in the background ( )when working overnight. Real compelling stuff. If anyone missed it then the heats on demand to see are Slater v Dorian qf and Parko v d Hobgood in the semi - both great adverts for competitive surfing and tactics. Slater v Dorian was a real see saw of a heat. Parko was losing the title with about 3 mins to go but was a cool customer and got three good waves, probably overscored on the 1st of those 3 but the last two were worthy ones to win the semi. Great drama from the Billabong balcony as they were watching Slater v Kerr's semi though the waves didn't really turn on for that semi

parko deserves to have a world title has suffered in previous years through injuries this has been probably his most consistent year and has been there or there abouts throughout ...he really does surf backdoor as good as anyone over the years and his surfing in waves like bells and j.bay is as good as you can get well done parko would have been shortchanged if kelly had won this event as shane dorian had pipped him in his heat but not according to the judges.... 8)
