more destruction on the way.
i watched in awe the mountains that came in last saturday, literally felt the ground shake, saw a 3m thick harbour wall with a chunk missing, waves appearing in places that must have lain dormant for decades! Lossie harbour wall got flattened, its never seen any damage in 100 years.

i couldnt find shelter before the light went

and theres more on the way, coupled with a serious wind

that fricken wind is gonna proper ruin it, only one place I can think of that might be working (or maybe two) will check them out if I can be arsed with the 150 mile round trip!

Well the 21st is when it's all going to end, not sure why they bother after that. Although the snow forecast for sat, sun and mon might put the fires of armageddon out.

Saturday was pretty insane, mass flooding and destruction in Stonehaven and reefs breaking in front of Cowie which I never knew existed. If I had had the time to look I bet there were some great little supersheltered spots which would have been going off! went for a walk on the Aberdeen beachfront on Saturday morning and there were about 3 or 4 boards lying on the beach! I was wondering if they had all been washed up from the legendary surfboard graveyard, but sadly they were from the store for the surf lifesaving club which had had it's doors blown in by the storm (not fussed they were all pretty cack anyway)

Last Saturday was crazy - saw some big boomers far out where there are usually none - that was a first.

Waves will be had at some point....

up here 20 years, east coast, all my life, never seen anything like this, the fact that lossie harbour got flattened , its never seen any damage in 100yrs+ i think we got hit harder up here, the area between n berwick and wick bore the brunt this time

yeah its buggrd, its also 50ft high apparently, not sure about that though.

the other harbour (2nd pic) had a massive chunk smashed out of it during the night, (you can see it on the left ) i was standing a hundred yards or more away and could feel the ground shake, check the size of the chunks that got thrown!

can't see those pics at work - I was talking about the breakwater at the river mouth, not the harbour wall - it ain't 50ft anyway , I've fished off the harbour wall , 25ft max ......

Nah, the inside breakwater is still ok, not sure the same can be said for the bank that creates those left hand grinders at low tide! You are right, that wall is at most 10-15ft off the water, even at low tide.

Teeswave buoy got up to 4m@10 sec yesterday. I got smashed alot and one wave which made my day
