Yesterday was a very good day

Postby tootes » Sun Dec 23, 2012 9:01 pm

Stepped out my front door, walked down the road, slid into the sea and caught some east coast juice. Came home and walked straight into a hot shower.

My first ever surf not to have involved a car and therefore my first ever free surf (although some cost has been involved in getting to this point). No 2.5hr ride to Salty or to North Wales no £50/per day surfs - in fact I am probably still as close to Yorks as when I was in Manc so might sneak down accasionally still.

7 years ago I made a silly mistake and moved away from the coast, in the last few months I have been putting it right. Ironically getting my little one out of her school which we hated and moving her to the local village school has meant as much as anything. Can also walk to my golf course and thrash my car n the local hills and mountains.

god its good to be back in Scotland, even if it is full of the jocks

Merry Xmas all MSW'ers

Nice one Tootes, good bit of yuletide stoke.

There is something magical about just a short walk to a beach. It's taken me a long time to get to a similar position.

Yup - took me 3 mins and I was in the water the other day. But can't walk far with a 12ft SUP so car needed for 1 minute drive

Gullane matey, couple of streets back from the beach. Won't get in here often but the swell was a nice welcome to the village. Still got lots of schizzle to sort out like work and that but the family are in.
