Tuflite White Touch Up Paint

Postby ATTMFKH » Mon Jan 07, 2013 10:42 pm

Got my Nugget delivered today and it needs some touch up paint on the chips.

I cannot find any White paint in stock anywhere - want the brush on rather than the spray.

Can any of my SeaWeed Brethern help me find some :? I'm stumped ............. anyone ever use Tippex

Good wave Karma for any help finding it 8)

I'll have a look - the missus used to use Poscas for her work - loads of them all over the house but don't remember seeing a white one :?

Feel like an internet light-weight but I can't find Tuflite White Touch-up brush on paint anywhere ..........

Fuck up   .... your boys just sent me this

'Hello Johnny,

Thanks for your order. I do apologise but it seems that we sold the white touch up paint over the weekend and it wasn't taken off the website. We do however have the Spray version of the White which is normally £5 more.

If your happy to go for the spray then we can offer it to you for another £2.50 which we can take manually if your happy with that.

Sorry again,

Tyler'

that's a pisser. how about Surf Commission www.surfcom.co.uk? they don't list it in their online shop, but they are the surftech distributors.

or maybe give guts a ring at his swansea shop http://www.gutssurfboards.com/contact.cfm. he's a surftech stockist and team rider, so may have it. if he has and he's not prepared to post it to you, I don't mind nipping in (he's only round the corner) and getting it for you and you can paypal me the cash

That's what I usually do ................. usually disappointed when I open a second hand board from the wrapping but take a day or so to sort out annoying bits.

e.g. McCoy Nugget advertised as in excellent nick, no dings - saw pics of white board but difficult to tell real detail - so it arrives with paint chips, scrapes, light crease in nose - nose could've been the Ding Patrol as it looked as though it didin't have it when it was shipped. Wee crack maybe on rail where a tie strap has been tarzan'd

Wee bit of resin & some touch up paint and it's all good for that East Coast gravy

When I think of the board I'm selling, Royal Mini Noserider that I'm selling to fund this, it makes me boke to see the craftmanship that I'm parting with compared to this lump of plastic ......... been looking for a McCoy for a while now so happy enough to get one but was expecting a minter

Yours sincerely

The Disappointed Horse

Paint, anyone :-|

Hey man it could be worse, I creased a brand new board the second time I rode it. Now that sucked. Creased right in front of the fins too, thing was ruined, I fixed it half-arsed and sold it cheap. Funnily enough that was the last new board I bought..

I'm stuck in Dallas at a conference, think I've read every post on this forum today  And there's good waves every day this week at home..

ERRRRR....Magicseaweed....Online shop sell touch up paint for Surftech ??? For my repairs on Surftech you can also use the spray with a small flat artist brush for chips...Just get yourself a tube of white gelcoat filler ( chandlerys) or the white repair epoxy (Magic seaweed shop)..Fill the chip, sand using 1000 grit wet & dry....Spray some paint in a lid of some kind, wait about 2mins as the paint starts to cure & brush about three coats on the chip (mask area around chip). When dry, lightly sand & buff up using cutting paste ( or toothpaste as just as good !!)...Hey presto, nice repaired surftech...Works for me & never had a customer complaint yet !!

Mahalo..
