Surfing Sunderland East Cost of England

Hey Surfers,

First sorry for my bad english. I use school english.

I work soon for a few months at Sunderland and would go surfing there.

But I do not know the North Sea, when can i go surfing there.
At hightide or lowtide?

when i shouldn't go/stay in the water. there are dangerous underwater
flow/riptide? Or other dangers?

I hope you can understand my questions, if not? Let me know...

Hey Stefan- you will get waves. There's a high tide wave north side of the pier...the beach to the north is OK low-mid...the beach just furtehr north gets epic mid high...and theres reefs north and south. Take your pick. Bring a good wetsuit boots and gloves.

Normal dangers apply- theres no crazy currents...

On the social side of things you wil have a great time- the people of sunderland are a sight to behold- theres high incidence of teenage pregnancy and STDs are rife- you are gonna love it

is that high tide wave always at hightide on each day?? Or only on good conditions (wind or others)

and wtf, teenage pregnancy and STDs are rife- you are gonna love it ( that's bad, or i understand that false)

Well put it this way, you wouldn't want to surf the pier at low tide unless a really big swell. There's places to surf up and down the beach any time of the day, some of the best hollow waves at low tide when the sands right at Seaburn. Offshore winds or be prepared to travel

I would like to know if there are surfshops in the region?
How are usually the waves in Sunderland and along the cost line (height, frequency, wind ...)? And what about the locals ?
