First time I went I got $2 to the £1...so was pretty cheap. You could always hire a camper as the place has loads of camp grounds , some right on the beach. Or hire a house/condo...if you stick around Encinatas you can't go wrong. Must admit Marina State Beach in Monterey freaked me out abit, that water is really dark and has some big ass men in grey suits!

Calis quite cheap if there's a group of you. You can get motel rooms for ike $40 a night and just drive up the coast no need to book anything. Great part of the world- loads of different waves
