Go into William Hill, put it all on Phil's Phillie at 2 to 1 and then buy my board.

Most of the surf shops have closed down now. Live in Newquay and things look pretty desperate. Down by Burger King only one of the shops is left open. Tunnel Vision gone, Surfs paradise/Foam Assylum or whatever has closed.
I'd be checking that site Second Hand surfboards and see what you can fine down Newquay way or Cornwall in general. Usually something worth buying privately.

[b]Not depressing other than for the poor souls looking for work. Newquay's shops in general have recently become bland, soul less with wet behind the ears sales assistants or 'lifestyle' Londoners jumping on the bandwagon trying to make a living selling the same o epoxy crap, trinkets & over priced clothing to a beer swilled student, stag party holidaymaker who can just about afford the campsite tariffs. Like the country, Newquay could never survive the downturn. The only bonus is that hopefully a smaller number of quality outlets will survive & Newquay itself will update its image in the summer...Then again, what am I saying ? if Newquay does that , then the masses will clog up our beaches even more...sh#t, Go to Newquay & if any London lifestylers are reading this then there are masses of empty shop units awaiting to set up surf shops selling fine epoxy pop outs,Roxy clothing & Super Dry....

I live in Newquay and chose to buy my latest board from a long standing family owned surfshop in Peranporth where I always get a good deal and genuine service.
Says a lot really.

Free riders in Falmouth always have a well stocked 2nd hand board room, always like to have a nose to see what they have.
