I agree. Its worth taking this policy to any area, especially those green/wild/natural places we love.

did the beach clean this weekend.

My four year old got of my shoulders today to pick up some litter that was blowing around the playground.

i filled up 2 wheelie bins the other weekend with my kids in tow..

my surf spot is grimey as it is, real industrial, though it doesn't mean we should accept the rubbish that gets dumped or washed up on our beaches.

i got an email of s.a.s asking for people to sign their beaches up for a spring clean, clean up day. get on it if you havent already.

an old thread but a worthy bump...

I have collected 467 tampons from beach clean-ups over the years.

I have quite an impressive collection.

I also have found 327 hypodermic needles during beach clean-ups, which of course I stick myself with.

Good on ya'll for keeping our coastlines clean.

Cheers

Porth towan has some handy little litter pickers next to the beach. Makes picking stuff up very easy. More beaches should have these, then those of us with a social conscience can pick up litter without getting sh1t over us
