Glassed today

Having a 7'2" volan single fin shaped by Bro Diplock/Paul Fluin. The shape is exactly what I wanted and I was at the factory when Paul was glassing it. He has done an immaculate job. Every board I've had from them is pretty special but this is just lovely. Paul really is an amazing glasser [as is Bro a shaper]. Will put up finished board photos soon.



The streaks are my iPhone by the way and not his glassing.

Picked up my new 7'2" from DiplockPhoenix yesterday and got her in the water for about twenty minutes. Conditions were terrible; I was worse; but always good to get a new board out straight away. Superfast and paddles beautifully. Catches the wave super early. Going to love this one I feel [like every other board I've had from Bro and Paul.]

When I saw the side biters I was just like "Woooooohooooo!" As they say, the devil is in the detail.

It's just gonna be such a beautiful little trim machine but also I get the feeling from that quick paddle she is gonna just fire along a big open wall. Woooop, wooooooop!

Newest addition... I'm not sure what to call it. It's called Schmoo. That'll do.

It was based on a McCoy 8ft Single fin nugget.

I just wanted a hog that caught anything. Awaiting first surf.

Ive always been tempted to try a quad set up on a longboard,let us know how it goes .. Still not found a faster longboard than that mystery machine i got off you a while back..love it

Complete shuffle of the pack here... The Hunt has gone, Never found the pintail I was dreaming for, but did get something incredibly interesting, so a bit of a gamble, time will tell if it's a keeper. I still feel the need for a pintail log, but can live without noseriding, and so I give you...



The finish on this is incredible, I mean, this kind of effort???


Also picked this 6'10 hull up from the same man, Gibbly.

Missed great surf yesterday due to a bad call. So yet to get them wet. Be interesting to see how this goes. Clearly not in the noserider category, it's a version of a 1950's Hobie Malibu Chip... Looks a lot of fun anyway!

Update on the JP Quad....very,very fast...not quite as responsive as the Mystery Machine but a lot of fun.

Yeah, tis a thing of beauty, Can't wait to get a feel for it. Very slightly rolled bottom to vee tail. Should slide beautifully!

Hoping it isn't too much of a chore to turn as the Hunt was.

anyway, right tool for the job n all that, ready for my autumn-winter "assault" (insult?) on the steep fast shallow waves of el palmar. i´m gonna get drilled no matter how much nose i got!
