I posted up another on the surf photography bit, we had some lovely waves in beautiful light this morning so if I got anything good I'll post them up on the post your shots thread this eve.

I was a naysayer before but they are very versitile little cameras

Had a surprisingly fun hour in some howling onshore, short period slop on Saturday

On the subject of go pro photos, these are a few from a 5mp surf hero, shite quality. Looking into buying a new one, HD or something they call it





Motorised surfboard i bought and restored!



Had these photos taken not so long ago, had the raw files given to me on a disc. They are around 30mb a photo the quality is outstanding, although now photobucket has had its way with them it doesn't look so great

Unless you have done anything to the leves with PS or similar RAW files extracted straight to JPEG will always appear a but dull. Nice pics, second might benefit from a bit of a crop on the left too.

That motorised board looks very cool.

Certainly better. I think problem with the first one is that the camera has focussed on the breaking wave behind you, but not you, so you aren't pin sharp?

Aaah I was there too this morning. Got there about half 6ish after faffing about debating where to go....Good session wasn't it?
Every now and then a few BIG closeout waves would come looming in and everyone would be scratching for the horizon, but more often than not getting caught inside and WORKED. The photos don't do it justice, it looked tame from the car-park!

Yes, I underestimated it at Watergate, the paddle out looked short but it was mammoth and all the time hoping to make it through the bombs! Took some photos but didn't do justice...

the shots are good, but id fork out for some if i was doing something better ( big turn on a macking point, proper barrel on some of the reefs etc)
