Another beautiful Monday morning surf today. There's something about heading to the beach when everyone else is going to work

But lumpy and bumpy but I caught a few that made it worthwhile and once again, was on my own for most of it!

From what I know of water quality I'd be a little reticent surfing near rivers in stormy whether - brings lots of unpleasantries with it.

yeah the water round here has been tasting much more chemically since all the rain and flooding, and my sinuses are in agony for a couple of hours after every surf. Still I haven't had any projectiling from either end... yet

wonder how long it will take all the sh!te to make its way down the Severn.. could get reeeeaaly rank

Tell me about it! I had to use my old wetsuit this morning and I was frozen solid in the northerly wind. My gloves seem to both have developed holes too so that did'nt help.

Good surf made up for it though!

Nice clean waist-chest high this afternoon. Took the mal out for a change and had a very nice sesh, thank god. Nothing worse than self-doubt.

Early doors, freeeeeeezing cold, actually wore my heated vest just for the surfcheck!! Shows how nesh I am.

Good head high, two of us in for a couple of hours, back on my quad, zipping along, very content............

cracking little session at a well known beachy north in Cornwall yesterday, first ride on the Mac Fish and it was solid fun, 3ft and fairly clean with a few 5ft sets pushing through too. There were a few awesome bods out there to watch aswell, even Mr Skinner rolled up.......good day had by all

Cracking surf yesterday at super exposed slab. SOLID SOLID SOLID eell overhead at a right slab crazy wave.

Got hammered lots and held under for fairly long times!

Only got two waves proper .. But got good barrell on one of em.. A few secs long and surprised to pop out the end with touching the sides

putsbro was shit this morning then we nearly got stuck in croyde cos of the flooding, finally made it back to woolie and had some nice chunky waves all to myself. shame it's such a ballache to paddle around in a thick wetty....still not used to it at all


oh and i somehow forgot to zip up my wetty and had a rather cold paddle out....got half way before i realised and didn't want to turn back

Thankfully my rubbish surf from Monday has been completely banished with another awesome session on the longboard. Only caught 5 waves in the hour but bloody hell they were good ones!

Was thinking of taking it easy over Christmas but looking at the swell forecast I may have to get wet at least once next week!
