not surf stoke exactly (I did get in this weekend at a local reef I had not surfed before but it was onshore) but on monday evening I went for a ride on the road south of Pease.

Took this little piccy just before the final descent back to pease then onto cockburnspath and was full of the ol stoke when I got to the bottom. The run down into Grantshouse was not too bad either. There was actually one in at Pease and it looked almost surfable...

Found a nice spot out of the wind, in North Cornwall today and caught a few cracking barrels. Almost ate the cliff too, but happy to say I stopped short. :-D

Finally some waves!!! Might have been waist high and slightly windy and cross shore but a good bank is a good bank and that was a good bank! Slip sliding along on my spoon, few nosey kind of attempts and some Knost-esque (aye right :-D ) cutbacks!

Some bombs swinging through this morning at 1st light with the Janitor. A hold down, a mouthful of water, a ripped suit and the Janitor had run out of sawdust .... funny

Got up at 5:45, in the water for 6:30am this morning and it paid off. Headhigh plus, consistent glass with just me and 2 mates before a couple of others joined us around 8:00am. Best session i've had in ages!

sun was out at saltburn on saturday! water was still cold but blueskies = stoke!
The offshore developed into a crossshore by mid afternoon which meant plenty of paddling around to find a decent take off late into the sesh tho. Wasn't too crowded neither.

Highlights included seeing some novices get tangled up in the pier (oooo eck!), some lad land a decent frontside air right in front of me (sick!) and townie teenagers fighting by the chippy (over chips maybe?)

forgot how nice it is to get changed out of your wetsuit in the sunshine, compaired to the shivering and teeth chattering struggle during an icy gale.

Best session for a long, long time for me, at what was mainly a left-hand point. Nice long peeling wave, long rides, chest/head-high, pretty glassy for the most part, but shoulders are FUBAR'd from long paddles back to the take-off spot. :-)

Had a few frustrating surfs lately:- making stupid mistakes, screwing up what could have been great waves and generally feeling like my ability had regressed, but after an hour of crap-surfing today, I had good flow and was nailing turns, managing to generate some speed etc.

S.t.o.k.e.d

sounds like my session saturday but on a right hander up here...messed up a few waves then got a solid head high wall that kept its size for a good 50m before gradually dying down. got about 7 or 8 top turns in and a few cut backs then couldnt face the paddle back out to the peak..best wave in a while

Got in 10 times last week in the Algarve. Brutal nortada wind kicked in on Thursday but few south coast spots and arrifana beach started working then albeit with some marginal conditions (but all right with a groveller in the 25c weather). One nice tube at the local reef, few sessions there with just me and another lad (with my beginner friend up the beach). On tod at the reef on Saturday until 8 locals turned up. Very setty sesh became a fibreglass nightmare

got some good ones then? the problem with the reef where u live is it's too easy to paddle out and people sit way too inside sometimes. nice wave tho espesh the bowly ones u can backdoor and get a shack on!

i surfed windy blown out wedgey crap yesterday. it was so much more fun that it looked from the beach and all helped by the mad little 5'4 Circle One round tail eggy thang i was riding.. thanks for sending us a demo board Circle One, it's mine now!!!!!!!

but really it was surprisingly fun

Aye was a backdoor shack, well surprised when it threw. Thought the goons paddling out might have looked and learned but it was party wave central soon after, glad they were doing pathetic yoga style warm ups on the beach for ages before they came out. overlong yoga warm ups in fashion over there, not feeling it myself.

The competent one of the group got a good shack at Zavial sat night tho

5'4:-o what width
