Was out Monday and Tuesday this week at Portrush NI, been surfing bout 10 months now and this was my first back to back days surf. Surprised how well the arms / paddle fitness held up but the conditions on Monday were just beyond my ability, so went in a bit and caught some beginner sized waves.

Photo borrowed from http://www.andyhillphotography.com Just to show how heavy and hard some of the sets were.

Pretty sure this is me to the far right getting the hell outta the way lol.

edit: better pic added.

However, it was back to heavy-as-hell again this morning... Got a fin in the leg and almost dislocated my shoulder, but fun in a sadistic kind of way

looks nice. Remember a few really good surfs at the 'gate when I was in Devon. One evening in particular I remember driving up from the south coast and surfing really nice 3ft a-frames at the northern end in front of the rocks. happy days!

I love cyclone season :-)

Fair share of waves at perfect Noosa this morning. Now nursing a broken toe on the balcony, watching empty perfect double overhead lefts reel and spit off a sandbank out front. Smug mutch? Oh yeah, the broken toe

Cheers Huey, overhead rights at Stinky Bay this morning, nice to be on it again, first time since xmas but super paddle unfit despite all the extra exercise lately, only solution - surf more!

Massively happy today, avoided the Scarborough crowds today and found emptiness 3ft offshore surf. So fucking happy right now. Only downside was I swapped boards for a bit with my mate and had a complete blast hanging heels on his noserider... Getting back on my Chip wasn't the same after that. Sweet as fuck in trim, thought I could do without dangling piggies, apparently not... :(

that looks really fun!!

i went surfing today. messy onshore but i've been dying to take the new log out. worked well enough but would've been more fun on a shortboard but locked into one long noseride so stoked.

also i found out i can surf backwards....got caught trying to push through a wave and then rode it lying down going backwards feet first all the way to the beach!! no leash so had to stay on the board....you gotta love that!

Back from a break in the algarve. Not a cloud in the sky all week. Big sessions, small sessions and humbling sessions, the whole smorgasbord. Arrifana point was massive at times - buoy was showing about 4m at Sines, snagged a few bottom feeder waves off the locals and some van dwelling Saffas and an Aussie who all had it wired, no paddle take offs from them straight into the barrel. As big as I've seen!!

Nah, i'm not a big picture taker but my mate has. Will try and get a few sent to me. Square drops at Beliche earlier in week and had a sunset surf at the new age commune every day as the tide pushed in. Spotted a few points for future reference, no access other than paddle from adjacent village, mate didnt fancy it but ran nice

Just two pics on my phone

This was seen from a walk along he coastal path near Luz. No path down. Would take a paddle around from an accessible cove but one for the future in a macking west swell. nice lines but I don't think surfable on this day. Image

Same day arrifana, boat in the distance sets the swell height and if you know those rocks then you know how big this swell was. The boat was really hanging back before gunning to the port in a lull. Bit wooly this day, still got a deep cut amd bruise from a wipe out when the board twatted my arm (lucky). Following days were flawless, zero wind. One guy out on his own at the time this was taken.

i seen that top point when i was there, there's another further along. I was staying in a complex on the cliffs 20mins walk along path from Luz. lovely area that.

bit like Burgau...won't work often but good when it does by all accounts
Arrifana looks pretty big there! still never surfed the point

Arrifana looks chunky there! only surfed it once years ago, about double overhead but breaking right by that big rock so that must be huge!

flying out sat am for a week, forecast looks good for a mix of coasts. love it so much down there, always surf a nice range of spots.

Enjoyed myself today at Fistral. Not really anyone in the main section of beach when I got in middayish so could pick n choose. Nice and chilled, most of the time wondering where everyone was although it filled up as the afternoon progressed.

Very nearly caught my first barrel this morning! Local was shoulder high with strong enough offshores which was creating these amazing barrels with enough room if you crouched down! I tried and tried but it did'nt happen. Ah we'll, it was an absolute blast trying it though!
