LoL I wish. We have had 10+ a couple of times this winter, but each time the wind has been 20mph plus, though offshore. This turns my little old tea tray into a wing & makes for some interesting wipe outs. :-D Yesterday. wind was a gentle off shore breeze. Perfect. 8) :-)

Awesome day out west last Friday in Brandon Bay. 3-4ft and sets arriving like clockwork every 5mins.

Howling offshore made it very difficult to get into a wave but sure don't ya love those take offs where you are practically underwater due to the spray! Feel the board going down the wave and open your eyes for the bottom turn :-D

The only place I surfed was by Jamie Knox's place. I think its called the Maharees but I could be wrong! I'm not local to the area so I just scouted between Fermoyle/Gowlane/Kilcummin and ended up getting in there.

Here's a pic I took after I got out:

The stoke is high here too!
Found a few new spots (for me) over the weekend, on my way along the coastal road from North Devon to Cornwall.
Scored some beautiful, near glassy waves at high tide this morning. This evening it completely glassed off, brilliant session as the sun went down.

Take it you guys saw all these: http://magicseaweed.com/news/easters-uk ... gift/4804/. don't do bad on these shores do we.

I only got in Monday as worked all weekend - 48 gruelling hours in 5 days but think everyone was surfed out by monday as there was only two of us for some nice easy reef action. Soo cold tho', coldest all winter for me, I nearly got out after ten mins but stayed in a few hours after all

Missed all the action over the weekend.. but had an absolute belter last night, got down the beach at 4.30 as about 5 guys were getting out, had 3ft wedging barrels all to myself for an hour until the 9-5ers started trickling in, but even then it wasn't crowded. Think it was bigger and more shapely when I was by myself anyway :-D :-D :-D :-D

Was fully tripping out, sunshine, not too cold and the funnest shaped waves I've seen in a long time. felt like I'd fallen into some altered reality scene from a surf vid, reeling wedging pits up and down the beach with no-one in sight - not a common occurance in Wales!!!!

Ha! I think that's me getting a cheeky poo-stance shampoo at 2.23 on that video... Fark - I thought I was deeper than that

What great run, especially combined with good banks. Even higher tides had good banks and hollow waves. I loves winter, I do.

North bay yesterday morning was off shore for about ten minutes then turned into the usual Nbay closeout shit(banks are terrible there at the moment) so got out & got a decent sesh at 'chalets' with just me and one other...its gonna be like last summer i guess...fairly consistent surf but very average quality...oh well...and does 'z-boy' ever have a crap session....

Unexpected surf session today. Went from 2ft to 5+ in about two hours, at Whitsands Bay. Snapped my leash on the paddle out. Returned to shore and went out again, to try a bit of body surfing. I only normaly body surf in, after a bust leash. First time I've gone out delibaratly to try, so wasn't quite sure what to expect. Waves were just perfect for it. Caugh a couple of dozzen corkers. Must bust my leash more often. :-D :-D :-D :-D
