good to get a kickin' once in a while ...... stops complacency

wind was too mental over here today , would have been head high but with a brutal paddle out & sketchy in / out.......

Don't know how those guys hold their breath underwater in proper big wipeouts....I'm out of breath so bleedin quick...probably because I'm breathing so hard already. Anyways...some truth in what you say....reminds you that you can get fucked kind of quick out there

Wind picked up here too....

Onshore lumpy crap - hardly worth it except that's the first waves in a month I've seen!
Oddly my fitness seems ok.

Fuck Fuck Fucking Fuck.....away from work early to chance getting a few waves. Tried two spots.....first no point...second one better but just went slack at high tide...got there at the wrong time. Drove back to first spot with wettie on sweating like a bastard to find it was still pish. Hate it when that happens....not had a decent surf for a LONG time...think I am losing the ability to surf these days :-(

^^^ Similar to my experience tonight. There were some small waves but I went to a place for a bit of crowd avoidance that had none. I've really had enough of this shit.

Worst surf ever today....because i didnt go and I should have done. Read the porthcawl report, which advised ''1-2ft on the push this afternoon, chopped up by wind'' - so didnt bother. Turns out it must have been a typo, as had a look at the webcams for Llangennith, Bude etc and the conditions look absolutely golden, best theyve been for many weeks. Had a free day too! But by the time I realised the report was wrong, it was too late to make the journey considering the tide times. Surf now shit for rest of bank holiday or got plans. Fuming.

A tragic tale, spent a couple days sleeping in the car trying to find some waves in the NE, only to find a sweet little spot accompanied by mega headache and nausea!

Crap drive home for ice cream and videos of other people surfing.......My new hobbie is much less presssured, surfing vicariously through GoPro footage.

had a shite surf tonight - only me in at a place I got swept out to sea about 8 months ago - got a bit of the fear sitting out there all alone  .

90 mins of closing out mixed up shite with a good few kickings thrown in , reckon I caught 3 waves

Thought there was going to be a window in the weather earlier today, forecasted to swing offshore for a few hours. Paddled out big onshore heavy lumps, like big fat wedgy fuckers! Wasn't surfable, getting worked on duck dives. Caught one wave, paddled in, walked up the beach thinking WTF! Walked back down an hour later looked much the same, gutted, thought i'd be able to get a session in before it goes flat for the foreseeable future :-(

Last night had a few good waves, unfortunately the dampers were put on by twatting myself in the mouth at the start of the session. Spent the whole time chewing bits of enamel.

had a rubbish outing the other day, getting called off onshore shoredumping 2 footers by guys doing butterfly stroke on their bodyboards. then i remembered where i was before here and it all seemed ok. the sun is shining, i ´m wearing a shorty, i´m living in spain, i´m in the sea and not at work...this is where i was before(korea). not quite Cali.

I'm pretty sure if anyone saw me tonight they would think I was learning to surf! :-( I feel very old.
Fifteen minutes of driving hail in the face didn't help either.
