Disagreement between summary and detail forecasts...

Right now the summary forecast for Redcar/Saltburn says...

Sat 18/02 3ft 8secs 5mph
Sun 19/02 3.1ft 8secs 5mph

i.e. just about surfable - swell is shorewards, wind offshore and worth the drive (by this winter's NE standards). However the detail says:

3am 1.1ft 8secs 1mph 5°C
6am 1ft 7secs 2mph 5°C

i.e. forget it.

Other charts suggest the marginal chance of a wave pushing down, maybe maybe not. I know it's you takes your chances, probably nowt doing territory, but can someone explaing the difference between the the summary and the detail?

Yep I noticed this too. In the great spirit of being a dedicated employee I've been trying to decide which days to work next week and which to be at home/surfing. For Bude the detailed info for Tuesday is completely different to the summary so I've been looking at both to try to help me - still not decided

Anyway - looking forward to v4, this is a great site Ben I've learned alot from it in terms of comapring my local break to forecast conditions and best times to be there. So much so that the other week when swell was v small but tide was on push I said to my mate be here at 2 and exactly at 2 the swell & tide came togther to make it surfable - coool
